We'd like to play at your event; give us a call and book in early!
The Yardarm Folk Orchestra is a community-oriented organisation in south Essex, UK,  playing British and international folk music  throughout the region, often at community, charity or other fundraising events. We've played at the Leigh Folk Festival and the Tenterden Folk Festival in Kent as well as at other high profile events in Sussex, Essex, Kent and London including spots at the Cliffs Pavilion, Southend and the London Palladium.

We hire premises at Benfleet Methodist Church, 67 High Road Benfleet, Essex SS7 5LH as a base and we practise there on the third and fourth Monday evenings of each month.  On the second Monday of each month there is a workshop-style practise evening for members and intending members at Leigh on Sea Sailing Club.   Please see the 'About Us' and other pages on the menu at the left for more information about these activities.

NEW MEMBERS

New members are always welcome to join us and you are invited to contact us first with any questions.  Most instruments are suitable and although there are no auditions or minimum qualifications it is desirable, even if you haven't played for some time, that you can get a tune out of your instrument!
