We'd like to play at your event; give us a call and book in early!
The Yardarm Folk Orchestra is a community-oriented organisation in south Essex, UK,  playing British and international folk music  throughout the region, often at community, charity or other fundraising events. We've played at the Leigh Folk Festival and the Tenterden Folk Festival in Kent as well as at other high profile events in Sussex, Essex, Kent and London including spots at the Cliffs Pavilion, Southend and the London Palladium.

We hire premises at Benfleet Methodist Church, 67 High Road Benfleet, Essex SS7 5LH as a base and we practise there on Monday evenings.  Please see the 'About Us' and other pages on the menu at the left for more information about these activities.

NEW MEMBERS

How do you fancy playing in a full size community folk orchestra?

We're really busy and welcome new players.

No auditions; relatively easy music scores; lots of fun, support, advice and friends for all.

Plenty of performances to choose from throughout the year in London, Essex, Sussex and Kent - and we're expanding!

ALL instruments considered but currently welcoming woodwind (flute, recorder clarinet, etc) strings (violin, viola, cello, etc) plus some melodeons and accordions.

Age is no barrier, but under-16s for protection reasons will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

THIS COULD BE YOUR BIG CHANCE - CONTACT US NOW!
